Please come back, Anna, I do want to build a snowman. #frozen #elsa #cosplay #notsoscary (at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party)

So do I look like Elsa? (Hopefully I’ll get a full shot of the whole dress soon.) (at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party)
It’s blurry again, but here I am with my inspiration! #frozen #notsoscary (at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party)
And Elsa told me (past her) to not conceal, so I took my gloves off just for her. #frozen #notsoscary
Anna was really excited to see her little-older sister. 🙂 she spun me around in circles and my hair nearly fell off! But oh my goodness. It’s fun to be young Elsa. #frozen #notsoscary (at Princess Fairytale Hall)
Here’s the final sneak peek of my dress before I’m in complete costume! (Because bed head, glasses, and a Wreck It Ralph shirt don’t exactly match.) I don’t have enough time to embroider the bodice, so I’m going with appliqués and adding embroidered details later. But oh, I am so in love with this!
(Also, I need to clean my bathroom.)
(Also, I need to buy a full length mirror.)
“It’s only four types of trim on the skirt,” I said. “It’ll be easy,” I said. Well, it wasn’t easy, but it’s done! Now I need to remove the first skirt from the bodice, add this one, and then I’ll be done! Except for the embroidery. Because I’m a crazy person. #secretproject
Am I a crazy person for cutting, sewing, and trimming a whole new skirt at 1 am? Definitely. Is it 100% worth it? TOTALLY. #secretproject #ihaveabout15hourstofinishthis
It looks like a real thing!! Now it’s a matter of tweaking the fit and adding the details. It still bothers me that the navy is so dark- honestly, I probably would have bought new fabric if I had remembered how dark it was. Ugh, now I’m frustrated. Tell me honestly, does it look bad?
This looks like a weird ladder thing, but it’s going to be a bodice, I swear.
(I’m slightly bummed the fabrics don’t photograph well, though. But I already had the navy fabric and didn’t want to buy different navy fabric. In real life it’s pretty gorgeous, though. And soft. SO SOFT. I might even wear my chiffon malco modes petticoat with the finished dress and up the soft factor. And the poof.)
