8: What kind of underwear do you prefer wearing?

Well, pretty much anything Aerie, but their boybrief style is my favorite.

25: Which member from which band would you most want to lather in nutella?

Probably Andrew Volpe from Ludo. Mostly because I think he would really like being coated in Nutella.

11!!

11: What is the strangest thing you have in your room? (You are not allowed to explain why you own it.)

Well, I’m at work right now, and the weirdest thing in the library is a giant light up Eiffel Tower.

Tuesday’s Ten: Halloween Candy Edition!

Halloween is tomorrow! Hurray!

We never really did Halloween when I was little. I dressed up when I was four (Marist College cheerleader- my grandfather was the college president and sent me a little uniform and a pompom as a present) and when I was five (ballerina princess- I couldn’t decide, so I was both). And then my parents decided that Halloween was evil and we should celebrate NO MORE.

Ironically, I met my husband at a Halloween party my senior year of high school.

Anyways, between my parents majorly easing up, being in my twenties and free to dress up if I so choose, and a sister obsessed with Tim Burton movies and cosplay (and often Tim Burton cosplays), Halloween is a much more relaxed occasion. I have two costumes lined up- I’m going to be Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls at school, and then I’m going to be Coraline while I hand out candy.

Which…THAT IS THE BEST PART OF HALLOWEEN. Right after dressing up, because I LOVE any excuse for dressing up. Next year, when P and I are in a house again, I’m totally going to have a fancy dress up party.

But yeah. Candy!

Here’s the best options that I look for in Halloween treats:

#1: 3 Musketeers bars

#2: Twix

#3: Those little packets of M&Ms

#4: Milky Ways

#5: Milky Way Midnights, WHICH ARE EVEN BETTER THAN NORMAL ONES BECAUSE YAY DARK CHOCOLATE.

#6: Krackel bars (Crunch bars are okay, but Krackels are better.)

#7: Anything dark chocolate

#8: Actually, chocolate’s pretty good. Unless it’s the weird store brand unlabeled stuff, because ew.

#9: ANYTHING FULL SIZE INSTEAD OF MINIATURE. It’s like hitting the frickin’ jackpot, man.

#10: Runts. You know, those little fruit-shaped candies from vending machines that don’t taste like fruit at all? Yeah, those are good.

And here, as a bonus, ten things that NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE, wants to get in their little plastic jack o’ lantern candy bucket things, SO FOR THE LOVE OF MERCY STOP HANDING THEM OUT, PEOPLE.

#1: Circus peanuts.

#2: Necco wafers

#3: Boxes of raisins

#4: Candy leftover from last Halloween

#5: Sugar Daddies

#6: Flavored Tootsie rolls

#7: Laffy Taffy

#8: Weird off brand Walgreens candy

#9: Any kind of licorice that is not Twizzlers

#10: Anything banana flavored.

Tuesday’s Ten: fall break highlights

I just finished fall break, and oh my, it was glorious! It was an entire week of vegging out and being ridiculously, happily lazy. It was marvelous.

#1: I watched the entire third season of Toddlers and Tiaras on Netflix. P ran away every time it was on. And then my mother showed me this, and I died laughing.

#2: I made all sorts of delicious things- coconut curry chicken, white chicken and artichoke lasagna, peach cobbler. I haven’t enjoyed cooking in ages and it was fantastic.

#3: My friend Meg was in town from Pennsylvania and we got to spend a lot of time together! We basically just talked and talked and talked for hours. It was fantastic.

#4: I got my first coffee of the fall- salted caramel mocha! So good. Mmmm…

#5: My husband got me the first season of Pushing Daisies on DVD! I love that show so much, and he surprised me by hunting all over till he found it.

#6: I had quality cuddle time with my kitten! He was not nearly as amused as I was.

#7: I got pretty much all of the fabric I need for the Narnia costumes- and thankfully I don’t have to make too many, unlike the spring show!

#8: I ate all the food. ALL THE FOOD. I usually don’t have time to eat anything substantial during the school week, so it was awesome to stuff my face- especially when my husband kept surprising me with breakfast foods!

#9: I broke my self-imposed shopping ban to buy a red dress to wear on Thanksgiving and a brown purse. Which I needed. So it’s okay to break the ban, right? Right? Probably not, but oh well.

#10: I dyed my hair and it’s GLORIOUS. I feel like the Little Mermaid!

Now I just need to wait until Thanksgiving break. And by then Narnia will be over and my stress will be done! I can focus on fixing up the library, and it’ll be awesome.

rnstudentandagleek replied to your postI AM FINALLY WATCHING THE NEW GLEE EPISODE AND KURT IS THE SWEETEST, LOVELIEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

You saw a hispter’s penis? I am confused. I feel like this comes with a hilarious story and you need to share, please:)

So I was driving around in a downtown-ish neighborhood area, and going slowly because it was a very narrow street with a lot of cars parked on the side.

And as I drove past a house, there was a blond hipster man clad only in a green button up shirt. No pants. No underwear. Just his twinkletube hanging out for all to see.

He saw my car inching past and hesitated, trying to hide, and then he just walked out and flicked me off.

And I was like “pardon me, sir, don’t look at me like that, you’re the one displaying your man bits.”

I went to Shakespeare in the Park with Erin, one of my favorite besties ever. We got dinner at Bread and Company to eat in the park, including delicious cake balls, and chatted a whole bunch, and watched a fantastic production of Much Ado About Nothing, which included braving a light rain and an actor almost falling on us! It was marvelous.
