Happy 26th birthday to my favorite park and my favorite ride! Great Movie Ride scared the daylights out of me when I was five and became my new home when I was eighteen. Over the years I’ve bounced around Studios (Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic, the Pixar parade, the HSM3 pep rally, Star Tours, the Frozen processional) but Studios will always hold a special place in my heart no matter where I roam. And of course, once a Movie Rider always a Movie Rider! (at The Great Movie Ride)

also yesterday there was a bird trapped in preshow and we had to call animal control and they were basically like “lol yeah have fun” because they couldn’t get the bird out with guests in the building.

and also yesterday they took a set down for an hour so they can do some testing with the new script and I’m not excited about it. 😦

A guest came on the ride wearing the old character attendant shirt (the yellow and white one with the sketchy Mickeys). He bought it on eBay. The coordinators told him he needed to change. He was grumpy. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

I DID!!! I DID AND IT WAS MAGICAL!!!!

it was literally a split second of me recognizing him and trying not to be obvious that I recognized him (because I could get in serious trouble for mooning over a celebrity while I’m working, and also because he’s on vacation and I don’t want to be a dick) but I smiled at him and said “hi, welcome to the Great Movie Ride” and he smiled and said thanks and walked into the entrance and IT WAS A MAGICAL MOMENT.

If I ever meet him for real I’m going to be like “I once nearly peed myself when you came to my work.”
