“It’s only four types of trim on the skirt,” I said. “It’ll be easy,” I said. Well, it wasn’t easy, but it’s done! Now I need to remove the first skirt from the bodice, add this one, and then I’ll be done! Except for the embroidery. Because I’m a crazy person. #secretproject

It looks like a real thing!! Now it’s a matter of tweaking the fit and adding the details. It still bothers me that the navy is so dark- honestly, I probably would have bought new fabric if I had remembered how dark it was. Ugh, now I’m frustrated. Tell me honestly, does it look bad?

This looks like a weird ladder thing, but it’s going to be a bodice, I swear.

(I’m slightly bummed the fabrics don’t photograph well, though. But I already had the navy fabric and didn’t want to buy different navy fabric. In real life it’s pretty gorgeous, though. And soft. SO SOFT. I might even wear my chiffon malco modes petticoat with the finished dress and up the soft factor. And the poof.)

Pieces are cut and pinned and the little dragon is napping elsewhere (and off my patterns).

But my sewing machine is in the car.

Ugggggggggh.

(Also yes I still have not cleaned up my pile of fairy godmother/Cinderella fabric scraps.)

(Have I posted a picture of Fairy Godmother? Cause that bitch turned out fabulous.)
